It’s National Cupcake Week.

16 Sep

How could I let this one fly by? National Cupcake Week? It’s genius! You’ve got until the 19th of September to celebrate this lip-licking week so I suggest you get the mixing bowls out, flick through your baking books and pop something pretty in the oven. Once out, decorate with edible flowers in true Florals and Cupcakes style!

However, if you prefer to pick up a batch of cupcakes in the supermarket or the bakery, there are some real treats out there. Sitting watching Four Weddings all day several weeks ago was made much better with the edition of some Marks and Spencer carrot and walnut cupcakes- even the most dedicated cupcake baker will agree that the M&S range of cupcakes is delicious.

I’ve recently come across Holly Cupcakes. Made to order for any occasion, these cupcakes look delicious. Holly is like a travelling bakery and you’ll find her at all sorts of events within the next few months including the BBC Good Food Show at the NEC in Birmingham which takes place in November which I’m hoping to attend so I can finally try out some of her treats! How amazing does that tower of Holly Cupcakes look?

Let me know how you’re celebrating National Cupcake Week.

I can absolutely recommend Holly Cupcakes – in fact that is a picture of my wedding cupcakes Holly made for me in June. The cakes were fantastic and so beautiful – we almost didn’t want to eat them… but forced ourselves in the end 😉
